A Superb First Race Meeting for The Trade Centre Formula Woman GT Cup Team

The Trade Centre Formula Woman GT Cup team had its first outing on 11-12th June 2022 at Snetterton, Norfolk where the four Formula Woman competition winners, selected from nearly 1,000 entrants, participated in their first race meeting.

The first event on the Saturday was a 25-minute ‘Sprint Race’, the first ever competitive race for our novices, against a field of seasoned professional teams and drivers.  The two Trade Centre Formula Woman McLarens qualified strongly, with both The Trade Centre UK car #64 and The Trade Centre Wales car #65 lining up within a couple of seconds of the pro teams.
 
From here, our team made great progress finishing 9th in class for Trade Centre UK car #64 and 10th in class for The Trade Centre Wales car #65.  The final race on Sunday was a ‘Pitstop Race’ where our cars finished 8th and 9th.  All four of our driver’s improved their lap times throughout the race weekend showing the grit, talent and persistence that got them to the start line in the first place.

Brand Ambassador Mike Doyle was there to catch the action for the Trade Centre Group, commenting: ”This must be one of the most exciting weekends of my life; I am so proud of our amazing racing drivers Erika, Sara, Jodie and Steph.  It is a pleasure to be involved with the fantastic Formula Woman project, as their sponsor.  When you speak to the girls off track, you can’t quite believe they’re the same girls that are driving those McLarens at over 150mph…incredible!”
